I caught the Redbird Fever show last night in Olympia. Here are a few videos I took. I should have photos tomorrow.
Redbird Fever: Is That Alright
Redbird Fever: Modern Satellites
Photography has been my way of capturing my life story. I started taking photos when I was in middle school, but it was when I was giving a digital camera for Christmas in 2001 that I fell in love with the art of photography. I have constantly been taking photos and learning about the art of photography ever since.
Photography is my story telling medium. I enjoy capturing the love and life that surrounds me in this beautiful world. I started Kahuku Photography to share this beauty and to capture your story for you to share.
I look forward to meeting you, and sharing your story.

Redbird Fever: Modern Satellites

I found this lovely cake while shopping for towels & kitty litter. I thought it was beautiful. Sadly, it didn’t taste as good as it looked.

I found this beautiful fruit tart at the store last night. I had to bring it home, take pictures of it, and then devour it.

The store already has Valentine’s Day items for sale. I thought I would practice my lighting tonight on a few candy hearts. Come to think of it photos make an excellent Valentine’s gift. Why not book a mini-session, and surprise
the man or woman in your life with some special photos of yourself? You can also book a session a sweetheart session for a special memory.

I was wondering though Safeway tonight, and came home with these cupcakes for the sole purpose of taking photos of them. Sadly, I couldn’t purchase one cupcake, and was forced to buy a half dozen. This is my first attempt at lighting them. Maybe I can do better tomorrow.

I’m Big Island Bound, and offering one mini-photo session while on island. For $50, you’ll get a 30 minute photo session, an on-line gallery of proofs, an 8×10 print, & set of four wallet prints of your favorite image.
I’ll be Hilo side 1/14 – 1/16, and Kona side 1/17. Please, contact me if you’re interested in booking this session.
In September, Tara & Ryan were kind enough to walk around Pike Place Market in Seattle with me for a faux engagement session. They’ve actually been married for awhile, but I was having a devil of a time finding an engaged couple who want their photo taken.

I love the effect you get from Cross Processing film, and decided to try my hand at making my own X-Pro Photoshop Action.

After Action:

This action was tested in Photoshop CS2, if you try it in CS3 or CS4 please let me know if it works.
A few weeks back I stopped by to visit Susan and her new German Shepard pup, Blackbird Diamond. Blackbird is quite rambunctious, but only fitting for a young Shepard. I was able to capture a brief moment of downtime.
