About Kahuku Photography:

Photography has been my way of capturing my life story. I started taking photos when I was in middle school, but it was when I was giving a digital camera for Christmas in 2001 that I fell in love with the art of photography. I have constantly been taking photos and learning about the art of photography ever since.

Photography is my story telling medium. I enjoy capturing the love and life that surrounds me in this beautiful world. I started Kahuku Photography to share this beauty and to capture your story for you to share.

I look forward to meeting you, and sharing your story.

Brittney – Fashion Photography Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Fashion Photography Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

I recently contacted the clothing company, Ainofea, to use one of their tops for a fashion shoot. I was able to connect with Brittney, a wonderful local model, here in Kona. I would say she worked this. I loved working with Brittney. She was super fun, and up for some of my crazy idea.

Hello Tenzin Kitty!

I’m preparing for a long event shoot tomorrow. I took a few sample shots of the cat, Hello Tenzin Kitty, to make sure everything was working correctly. All the lenses are cleaned, batteries charges, and all appears to be in order. I’ve also been brushing up on different batch editing techniques in Lightroom & Photoshop. I’m scratching my head as to why I didn’t pursue these earlier. What I’ve learned is going to make life much easier. This series of Tenzin was made using the new techniques.

Morrighan & Bug – Hawai’i Child Photography

Morrighan - Hawai'i Family Child Photography

A few weeks ago, I attended a local fashion show produced by a small non-profit group. The group has plans to start helping local children break get into modeling. After, the fashion show I gave my card to one of the organizers in the hopes of helping some of the kids get quality head shots. Bug and Morrighan were the first to take me up on the offer. We had lots of fun on this session, even if everyone kept making Bug laugh. They are great kids. Fun and easy to work with. I hope to get to work with them again soon.
